a couple weeks ago, I stumbled on San Gennaro, a carnival that takes place in Little Italy with rides, and games and fried oreos and every piece of nostalgia you could imagine! spinning teacup ride included.
seeing all of these references to my childhood brought me back to the good ol times and reminded me that what goes around comes, in life and in fashion. we see this in multiple iterations but lately my favorite version of 90s nostalgia in the fashion world is the resurgence of the branded logo.
we went from the times of logos galore (remember the now dreaded Coach CC’s?? or the LV of Louis Vuitton?) to the utter detest of branding, in a time lately where clothing turns more minimal and branding is almost nonexistent, we now see the pendulum swinging the other way…kind of like our old favorite ride from when we were kids. remember?!
you’ll start to notice more of the Adidas flip flops, the Supreme hoodies, and of course those #mycalvins instagrams we saw before w good ol Beibs. get a tee yourself below, tuck em into your favorite high waisted jeans, and do your best trying to win that extra large Winnie the Pooh at the fair.
